Job Title: Clinical Educator - Per Diem

Summary

This position's key responsibilities are to provide clinical leadership, education and support to provider organizations (hospitals and dialysis clinics) demonstrating interest in NxStage therapies. Focus will be on successful program introduction primarily via support at the bedside directed toward supporting the novice user of NxStage System One. Position will provide information to physicians to support prescription and consultation with nursing for operator training and clinical considerations associated with the therapy (e.g., access, monitoring, nutrition, and medications) based on NxStage clinical experience. Position will also contribute to the continuous improvement of NxStage education and support materials as appropriate.

Position will demonstrate competency in the operation of the NxStage System One.

Position will be expected to maintain clinical competency and licensure.

Positions are available to support acute (critical care) applications

Specific Duties:

  • Provide clinical education tools to facility leadership as appropriate. .
  • Provide support at the bedside for the novice user of NxStage System One.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of NxStage team to ensure growth and utilization of the NxStage System.
  • Work collaboratively with area and regional account executive to develop strategic account planning and targeting; to ensure teamwork and proper allocation of nursing resources.
  • Maintain clinical competency through nephrology literature, meetings, NxStage products and services and their clinical application.

Requirements:

  • Must reside close to major airport
  • Candidate should have the following attributes:
    • Outcomes oriented (customer, patient, NxStage)
    • Team player (internal and external) with strong interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrate ability to identify, understand, and apply skills to meet clinical and business objectives
    • Results-oriented
    • Computer literate
    • Time management, organizational skills for multiple projects and travel schedule
  • Current RN licensure or LVN licensure
  • 5 Years experience in dialysis and/or Intensive Care nursing.
  • Willing to travel (will be required in position)
  • The Critical Care Clinical Educator Per Diem must be a current user or a recent user of the NxStage System One.
