Job Title: Electrical Engineer I - II

Summary
Support R&D and Sustaining Engineering activities related to NxStage's embedded electro-mechanical devices.
Specific Duties:
- Debug existing designs and develop reliability improvements to existing designs.
- Work on new and existing circuit card designs for NxStage products.
- Integrate hardware and software systems working with software engineers.
- Maintain requirements and specification documents to allow vendors to develop and produce devices for NxStage.
- Review, approve, and process Electronics Alternates requests from Contract Manufacturers and internal customers.
- Support document effort to meet "Design Control."
- Work with vendors to ensure that NxStage products are manufactured to specifications
- Assure parts specifications are met by our vendors through communication and supervision
- Work with Quality Assurance and Research and Development to maintain an approved internal Quality System that meets the requirements of GMP's, QSR and ISO 9001.
- Aid in the development of, and maintain automated and semi-automated assembly and test equipment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Embedded systems development.
- Medical device or other safety critical device development.
- Experience with CPLD's.
- Analog experience.
- Reliability design experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail and deadline oriented.
- Must not be allergic to or unable to work with solvents such as cyclohexanone, isopropyl alcohol, or other solvents required in the assembly of our products.
Electrical Engineer I
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 0+ years of experience
- PCB schematic capture and layout program knowledge (PADS or similar) is desirable.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.
- Experience writing detailed test reports preferred.
Electricical Engineer II
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required, MS desirable.
- 3+ years of experience.
- PCB schematic capture and layout program knowledge (PADS or similar) is required.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Experience writing detailed test reports.
