Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Summary

The primary focus will be to improve the complex national logistics network by structuring and coordinating truckload and LTL solutions for the home patients. This position is specifically focused to work with the Logistics staff to achieve optimal low cost solutions for a hub and spoke network. This will include optimizing truckload and LTL destinations by developing a repetitive method to add and drop patients efficiently. Objectives will be cost minimization and service improvement. In addition, other logistics improvement projects will be assigned as needed.

Specific Duties:

  • Work with Logistics team to analyze and implement improvements and changes to hub and spoke network.
  • Assist the Customer Experience department with the management of change.
  • Interact with freight suppliers and third party logistic providers to implement network changes.
  • Responsible for day to day monitoring of adherence to schedule.
  • Will assist with investigating, evaluation, selection and purchase of logistics tools such as a Transportation Management System.
  • Understand total cost and service trade offs across the entire supply chain, forward and reverse.
  • Learn the detailed processes in the Customer Experience Team and how it interacts with the scheduling of home delivery dates.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve customer service and streamline processes.
  • Ensure the hub and spoke network is scalable for future business requirements.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in business, logistics, or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience process improvement, industrial engineering, or logistics
  • Experience with standard MS Office software including Excel, Access, TMS software preferred
  • Creation and use of database queries
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Customer Service Orientation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Project management skills
