Job Title: Vice President, Supply Chain

Summary
Manage and oversee the supply chain function. Including: Supply Chain development, contract negotiations, material procurement, production planning, finished goods forecasting and inventory control, inbound logistics, outsourcing/subcontractor development and performance. Develop metrics to assess and improve Supply Chain performance. Manage aggressive program for cost reductions.
Specific Duties:
- Manage the supplier selection and negotiation process; establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with suppliers; monitor contract compliance and adjust sourcing strategies based on changing business needs. Maintain ownership of approved supplier process.
- Control and Manage monthly Sales and Operations Planning process including ongoing metrics and reporting. Lead collaborative effort with Sales and Marketing to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness.
- Lead the team responsible for strategic sourcing initiatives for components with company-wide usage by working with technical departments and internal/external manufacturing operations to assure optimum synergy. Specific focus to include security of supply, quality and cost.
- Measure and track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact for annual budgets and long term planning. Develop and administer supplier evaluations, scorecards and ranking systems. Accountability for Quarterly Business Review practices with critical suppliers.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes and metrics to monitor performance on a worldwide scale.
- Accountability for inventory control of finished goods inventories and replenishment strategies
- Development of Material Control Systems to support global business needs. Ownership of Material Control systems.
- Provide sound management, cooperative/collaborative leadership and development and training for Supply Chain staff. Determine needs and make recommendations for future recruitment.
- Assess and help determine future online and web based purchasing initiatives
Requirements:
- BS/BA in business, materials management or engineering required, MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated successful, multi-year track record in sourcing or planning in a manufacturing environment required.
- Financial, project management, process analysis and design and technical skills are highly desired. Demonstrated ability to present a business case to drive process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in complex, team-oriented, multi-national business environments. Proven ability to influence and enhance processes across business lines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple commodities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills, both verbal and written.
- Experienced in PC applications such as Microsoft Office as well as enterprise requirement planning (ERP) using integrated software systems required.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
