Jeff Burbank, Founder and CEO, accepted on behalf of NxStage Medical, Inc. the Home Dialyzors United Trailblazer Award, for innovation and advancement of home dialysis and for developing the first commercially available portable home hemodialysis machine. Home Dialyzors United, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit patient organization whose mission is to support and advocate for home dialysis.
 
Barry M. Straube, M.D., a member of NxStage Board of Directors, was honored with the Mark Zawiski Memorial Award from the National Renal Administrators Association (NRAA). The award honors outstanding leadership in the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) community and was presented at the NRAA annual conference in New Orleans.
 
NxStage Ranked Number 141 on the Fastest Growing Company in North America on Deloitte's 2011 Technology Fast 500™. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2006–2010. NxStage Medical, Inc. grew 761 percent during this period.
 
Barry M. Straube, M.D., a member of NxStage Board of Directors, was honored with the Peter Lundin, MD Award from the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) at the organization's 38th Annual Convention in August. The AAKP presents the award yearly to an outstanding renal physician who makes contributions to the care, welfare, and well-being of patients over a lifetime of devoted service.
 
Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey H. Burbank, is among the recipients of Mass High Tech, The Voice of New England Innovation, 2011 All-Stars Awards. The All-Stars Awards recognize 15 driven and influential leaders of New England's innovation economy.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
